This is a very simple snack that I tend to make for my late afternoon ‘sugar hit’ with a cup of herbal tea. You get the sweetness from the apple with the added protein and essential fats from the nut butter. It’s a great combination to keep you blood sugar levels stable and keep you going till the next main meal.
- 1 apple
- 1 tablespoon of nut butter (almond spread, abc spread or hazelnut spread – I don’t mean Nutella!)
Cut your apple into 4 pieces cutting away from the core.
Spread your nut butter over each of the 4 pieces of apple.
It’s now ready to eat.
